Brows, Eyes, Lips, and Saline Treatment Aftercare

Please scroll down to find your aftercare section.
Failure to follow pre/post-care instructions will result in poor pigment retention.

BROW & EYELINER AFTERCARE

Instructions for aftercare for the following 7-14 days.

IMMEDIATELY AFTER: Blot the treated area with a clean cotton pad to remove excess lymph fluid. Do this every 30 minutes for the next 2 hours (4 times total). Make sure to clean hands prior.

Tonight, wash the treated area with Cetaphil gentle skin cleanser. This will be done over a sink. Make sure to use extremely light pressure and stroke from the inner brow/eyes to the outer. Wash the soap off with cool water, pat dry with a disposable paper towel, and use a clean q-tip to apply a thin layer of ointment (size of a rice grain for brows OR 1/2 a rice grain for eyes) on each side. Repeat this process at least once a day until the area is completely healed. You can apply the ointment up to 3x daily but make sure to keep the layer very thin and breathable. Do not submerge the treated area under the shower head, the pressure of the shower head will ruin the healing process.

It's normal that the area start to scab and peel off. During this process they will become very itchy. DO NOT SCRATCH, RUB, PICK, OR PEEL OFF THE SCABS. Allow them to fall off naturally. Failure to do so will result in loss of pigmentation in the area.

  • No swimming, saunas, jacuzzi, etc.

  • No sweating (no cardio, no heavy weight lifting)

  • Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning beds for 1 month.

  • Do not wear make-up on or around the brows/eyes until they're fully healed. You can wear face makeup if it's far from the brows/eyes.

  • No lash extensions or false eyelashes until the eyes have completely healed.

  • No tinting of the lashes or brows for 1 month.

  • Do not touch the treated area with unclean fingers or unclean applicators. You may infect yourself!

  • No contact with animals and gardening for 7-10 days following the procedure.

  • Do not use products with AHAs, Retin A, glycolic acid, lactic acid on or near the brows. If you must, use below the eyes only and at least 1 inch above the brows.

  • Do not donate your blood for one year after the procedure, per the red cross

  • If you experience excessive itching, swelling, blistering, or other complications post procedure, stop using the aftercare product and call your technician immediately. You may be allergic to the aftercare product

  • If you have excessive redness, swelling or tenderness or any red streaks going from the procedure area to the heart, elevated temperature, or excessive drainage, contact your physician and your technician as the area may be infected.

  • FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS MAY RESULT IN PIGMENT LOSS.

SALINE LIGHTENING TREATMENT AFTERCARE

It is crucial to follow aftercare instructions to ensure a proper healing process. Failure to comply may result in complications and scarring.

  • First few hours, gently blot the area with a clean, sterile gauze to remove any blood and lymph.

  • Keep the area clean and open to the air. Air/oxygen provides good and faster healing.

  • Cleanse the area 2-3x a day with Saline. Dampen a paper towelor cotton round with Saline and blot the area. Make sure hands are clean.

  • No bathing, swimming, saunas, tanning, exercise (excessive sweating)

  • Do not pick at the scabs and disrupt the scabbing process. It is critical to keep the scabs on as long as possible to achieve optimal results.

  • Apply Vitamin E oil over the treated area once all the scabs have fallen off. Continue to apply 2-3x a day until the next treatment.

WHEN TO SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION - INFECTION

  • Signs and symptoms of infection, including, but not limited to redness, swelling, tenderness of the procedure site, red streaks going from the procedure site towards the heart, elevated body temperature em or purulent drainage from the procedure site.

  • If you are experiencing any of the symptoms above, please contact your medical physician.

THINGS TO NOTE

  • It's important to the process and integrity of the skin that 8 full weeks of healing take place in between each session. No exceptions.

  • Lightening/removing can be a long process and patience is required. Expect visible and wanted results in 2-5 sessions. How many sessions required will be dependent on how saturated the pigment is, how deep it was implanted, the location, skin type and how much needs to be lightened for the desired result.

  • Results cannot be forseen, predicted or guaranteed.

LIP AFTERCARE

FOR ONE WEEK:

  • Apply vitamin A&D ointment at all times when the lips are dry

  • When they start peeling, make sure to dab the ointment so that the scabs do not rub off. Allow the scabs to fall off naturally.

  • NO wearing lipstick

  • NO rubbing the lips

  • NO picking off the scabs

  • NO kissing or smoking

  • NO giving oral sex

  • NO excessive sun exposure (2 weeks for lip neutralizations)
